Abstract

Acute epiploic appendagitis, an inflammatory process of epiploic appendages, is a rare cause of acute abdominal pain. Accurate diagnosis of this self limiting, conservatively treatable disease is important for preventing unnecessary hospital admission and surgery. In this paper we present pre- and post-treatment computed tomography findings of a 41 years old male patient who admitted to emergency service with acute abdominal pain and diagnosed with acute epiploic appendagitis.
